Workplace Learning
How do I organise work placement?
Step 1: Complete the online Workplace Preparation Program
- Create a Plink account here: https://www.plink.sa.edu.au/ilp/pages/signup.jsf
- Under “select account type” you must select the account type 8 – WorkPRO (students) and then complete the other fields, then select ‘create account’.
- Students should use their LearnLink email address.
- Users are then taken to the WorkPRO dashboard on Plink. Users can then scroll down to see the available WorkPRO courses. Users can select their course:
- WorkPRO: Full course: 12 modules, must be completed in the year work placement is first undertaken
- WorkPRO Refresher Modules: 40 multiple choice questions, to be completed each year following the completion of the full WorkPRO course.
- Then select ‘Register’. To complete the registration form enter your date of birth, year level, and school site.
- Email the completion certificate to denise.parkins945@schools.sa.edu.au
Step 2: Workplace Learning Agreement Form
- Contact a workplace to organise your placement
- Complete this form and return to the front office at least one week prior to your placement. (we’ll organise the Principal’s signature)
- Notify your teachers about your planned absence from school
- Prior to your placement you will be contacted by Denise Parkins via Email with your work placement pack
- Following your placement, return your appraisal form to the front office or to Mrs Parkins
